Warranties - Repairs

Before initiating any product return, please contact DELSEY After-Sales Service by clicking this link and selecting the option "Warranty, Repairs & Customer Service."

If you don't have internet access, you can obtain information about the nearest After-Sales Service center or the retailer where you purchased your product.

Please note that for DELSEY PARIS products purchased at hypermarkets (Carrefour, Leclerc, Auchan, Cora, Monoprix, etc.), we have an agreement with these retail partners who handle after-sales service for purchases made in their stores. According to this agreement, these products will not be serviced by the DELSEY PARIS After-Sales Service.

We advise you to directly visit the store where you bought the product for service. Please bring the damaged product and your purchase receipt.

The commercial warranty is provided in addition to the legal warranties of conformity and against hidden defects.

Each luggage sold with a warranty certificate comes with a commercial warranty under the terms and conditions stated below.

The commercial warranty applies to new products, excluding display and clearance models.

It covers manufacturing defects that affect the normal use of the product. However, the warranty does not cover:

  • Accidents from external damage like drops, impacts, or during transportation,
  • Excessive or abnormal wear,
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures, sunlight, solvents, water, or other liquids that can damage the product,
  • Damages due to user’s actions, negligence, or misuse,
  • Inappropriate transportation/packaging when returning the product.

For electronic components of the product, the following exclusions also apply:

  • Non-compliant use of electronic elements,
  • Modifications, including the use of parts not manufactured or sold by DELSEY or improper installation of third-party products.

The commercial warranty allows for the repair or replacement of your product under the terms mentioned below but does not entitle you to damages.

Products that have been maintained or repaired by a third party before DELSEY’s After-Sales Service or an authorized repair center intervention are not covered by the warranties.


Warranties can only be claimed by presenting or communicating the warranty certificate along with the purchase invoice that includes the purchase date and product reference. Without these documents, DELSEY reserves the right to deny the warranty service.

For postal returns, the product must be shipped according to instructions provided by the After-Sales Service, in protective packaging.

If the After-Sales Service or its authorized provider concludes that the Warranty applies, the decision will be either to repair the defective product or replace it with an identical or similar item (color, range, price, etc.), excluding a product refund.

In case of repair, aesthetic changes may be made if necessary, with no possibility for claims, especially regarding color.

For products covered under the commercial warranty, DELSEY will bear the shipping costs for the return and resending of the product.

If the claim is not covered by any warranty, the return costs remain your responsibility, unless legally stipulated otherwise.

DELSEY cannot be held responsible for force majeure events as defined by law and jurisprudence, which may prevent the implementation of the DELSEY warranty.


All DELSEY luggage is warranted for 2, 3, 5, or 10 years from the purchase date, excluding electrical and electronic elements. The warranty duration for each product is mentioned on the product sheet on www.delsey.com and on the warranty certificate.

The warranty for electronic and electrical components (excluding batteries) is two (2) years.


The commercial warranty applies to all DELSEY products sold worldwide.


The warranty is granted by DELSEY, a simplified joint-stock company under French law with a capital of 52 099 596 euros, registered in the Paris RCS under number 572 017 507, with headquarters at 25 rue du Général Foy 75008 Paris, France, or by email via the following form: this link.


If you wish to have your DELSEY luggage repaired that is no longer under warranty, you can contact an authorized DELSEY repair center, which will offer to repair your product under conditions specific to each center and at appropriate costs.


Apart from the commercial warranty, you also benefit from the legal warranty of conformity of goods outlined in articles L217-3 to L.217-32 of the consumer code and the legal warranty against hidden defects outlined in articles 1641 to 1649 of the civil code.

Depending on the country of purchase, other rights may be granted by national law regarding legal warranties.

The implementation terms for these legal warranties are the same as for the commercial warranty.
