Locks and Codes
1. HOW DO I OPEN MY SUITCASES?
So you have just purchased your suitcase and have arrived home, but it is impossible to open? Don't worry, it's not locked, all you have to do is push a small button near the lock. If you can see an arrow like in this photo, push the button in the direction of the arrow. You will then be able to open your suitcase with ease.

In the case of double locks, look at the direction of the arrows on the button. If you push it in one direction, it will open one side of the case. Pushing in the other direction will then open the second lock.
On cases within the BELFORT collection, open the lock by simply pressing the button and then tilting the lock clasp. Do this at all 3 opening points.

5. WHAT IS A TSA COMBINATION LOCK WITH A KEYHOLE AS WELL AS A CODE NUMBER?
The TSA (Transportation Security Administration) combination lock allows you to lock your bag with a code while allowing the American customs authorities responsible for transport security to check it when it arrives on American soil without damaging it.
So the keyhole on the TSA combination lock is for the sole use of the American authorities. The advantage of this lock is the customs officers access and so avoid them damaging your bag.
To know if your bag has a TSA lock, look at the lock itself - the TSA lock has a little, red, lozenge shaped logo, like the one below. For any other information on this subject, you can contact your country’s Customer Service directly using our contact form.
