A social revolution
The story of DELSEY PARIS started at the beginning of the last century with the union of two family-owned companies who decided to combine their strengths and know-how to conquer new markets. At the time, both companies were selling protection cases for innovative products: the Delahaye company was making leather cases for cameras and the Seynhaeve company was producing cases for typewriters and record players. DELSEY PARIS was born in 1946 from the merger of these two companies, with their owners Emile Delahaye and brothers André & Walter Seynhaeve combining their family names to become one.

With their respective skills in leather goods and protective case manufacturing, and at a time when the first paid vacations were being enjoyed and tourism was taking off, the two visionaries quickly moved on to beauty cases, briefcases, bags and luggage to accompany these first vacationers on their journeys. From the National highway 7 by car, to the rise of the railroads and the first passenger flights, they created products to meet people's travel needs, that embody French elegance and savoir-faire. The enthusiasm was immediate!

For over 75 years, the company has spent most of its time and energy innovating, creating new products and new functions in an effort to make travel easier.
DELSEY PARIS was the first brand to offer luggage with an ultra-strong rigid shell, providing better protection for travelers' personal belongings. In 1972, the brand launched the first luggage on wheels, using a telescoping handle with retractable wheels! A major innovation that changed the way people travel. In the 80's and 90's, the company continued to innovate, making ultra-light and resistant luggage that are also easier to maneuver. Since then, DELSEY has also worked on making luggage more secure. Staying true to its purpose of protecting people's belongings, the brand created the SECURITECH® zip - a patented double zip that is 3 times more resistant to intrusion than a standard zip.
Thanks to its integrated design studio, the brand combines tradition and innovation, elegance and modernity, design and practicality in each of its creation. As a result, it appeals travel enthusiasts from all over the world and has become the must-have luggage brand with true Parisian chic style!
